What I hold, and why
Short version: I keep the minimum I need to teach your child well, I do not sell anything to anyone, and you can ask me to delete it.
Who I am
RKM Learning is a sole trader providing private online tutoring. For any question about your information, email rkmlearning.inquiries@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Your name, email address and phone number, so I can arrange lessons and reach you.
- Your child’s first name, year group, school exam board and the subjects we work on.
- Their homework, the marks I give it and my written feedback.
- Messages sent through the student portal.
- A record of lessons taught and payments received, which I have to keep for tax purposes.
What I do not collect
I do not ask for medical information, and I do not take card or bank details through this website — payment is by bank transfer directly to me.
Booking a consultation
Consultations are booked through Cal.com, which passes the time and your contact details into my calendar so the meeting can be set up. Their own privacy notice applies to that step.
How long I keep it
Homework, feedback and messages are kept while your child is being tutored and for twelve months afterwards, in case you want the records. Financial records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. Everything else is deleted when you ask.
Who else sees it
Nobody, other than the services that run this site and store its data on my behalf. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you or your child, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email rkmlearning.inquiries@gmail.com and I will act within a month. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
